Each file is showing a spinning icon and cannot be opened.

The spinning icons mean the files are updating from iCloud. Usually, it can be fixed by either leaving GoodNotes open for a while or restarting the device. If restarting does not work already, here are three other suggestions:

1. Duplicate the files by tapping Edit>Duplicate and see if you can access the duplicates. If yes, you can delete the originals. 

2. If you are using the Mac Version of GoodNotes as well: Open the documents, make a random edit and close them. They should be available on your iPad afterward.

3. Some users told us that they fixed it by using “Regenerate Missing Thumbnails” in Options>Settings>General under Troubleshooting.
